The foundation aims to preserve and create ecologically valuable tree populations in the Zurich Oberland as follows: Supporting forestry measures to maintain an ecologically intact forest edge within the framework of forest maintenance and consolidation; Purchasing parcels with protected hedgerows, field and shore trees; Promoting new plantings of ecologically valuable forest and hedgerow biotopes through contributions to landowners, tenants and private nature conservation organizations, provided that suitable measures are taken to ensure the existence of these biotopes (legal safeguarding).
