Lukas Emch-Stiftung

The purpose is to support pianists and violinists in their artistic development and professional training by granting scholarships. The scholarships are to be awarded to Swiss citizens who wish to study or are already studying at the Bern University of the Arts to obtain a Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy, a Master of Arts in Music Performance, or a Master of Arts in specialized Music Performance with a major in piano or violin; do not have sufficient financial means; are particularly gifted and ambitious and are worthy of a grant due to their character and attitude. When awarding the scholarships, care must be taken to avoid fragmentation of the funds. If there are several applicants who are suitable in the above sense, citizens of the canton of Solothurn have priority.
