The Martin Schindler-Escher Support Fund Foundation aims to provide welfare benefits to employees and workers of the companies and facilities (hereinafter referred to as enterprises) which are entrusted by Aluminium Werke Neuhausen AG and Aluminium Industrie-Aktiengesellschaft and their successors in the canton of Valais with the further processing of aluminum alloys, specifically into rolled and pressed products, as well as with the supervision and remediation of sites contaminated by this industrial activity. These benefits are to be provided from the income of the fund's assets and from donations for cases where support from other funds of the enterprises is not provided. The following are considered welfare benefits of this kind: 1. Support for employees who have fallen into distress without fault of their own; 2. Support for employees to care for the health of their wives and children up to 18 years of age through hospital and recuperation stays, application of therapeutic procedures, operations, etc. Only those persons who are active in production in an enterprise operated in Switzerland are considered to be employees.
