The Company's purpose is the manufacture of food and dietary products, notably coffee. In pursuing its purpose, the Company aims to have a significant positive societal and environmental impact within the framework of its commercial and operational activities. It may acquire, sell, exploit, or have exploited all intellectual property rights, such as patents, manufacturing processes, trademarks, industrial designs and models. The Company may, in Switzerland or abroad, create branches, found subsidiary companies, participate in enterprises with an identical or analogous purpose, carry out all operations, and conclude all contracts suitable for developing the Company's social purpose. The Company may acquire, hold, manage, pledge, develop, and alienate real estate in Switzerland and abroad, as well as finance other companies, with the exception of operations prohibited by the federal law on the acquisition of real estate by foreigners (LFAIE). It may also carry out all operations, notably contract loans that, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, are favorable to its development and that have a direct or indirect relationship with its purpose, as well as exploit or participate in cash compensations/net cash centralizations (cash pooling) with the companies of the group to which it belongs.
