The company's purpose is to raise and lend funds and manage other funds (cash management), provide payment services, financing and similar services, in its own interest and for other group companies of Novartis AG. However, this business area of the company exclusively includes activities that do not require authorization under the Financial Market Acts. The company does not publicly offer to accept third-party funds. The company may engage in all commercial, financial and other activities that appear to promote the purpose of the company or are related to it. The company may establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad and acquire and sell businesses. The company is part of the Novartis Group and, in pursuing its corporate purpose, may take into account the interests of the Novartis Group, Novartis AG and other group companies. In particular, the company may provide current accounts, loans and other direct or indirect financing to its direct and indirect subsidiaries and third parties, including its direct and indirect shareholders and their direct and indirect subsidiaries, and provide security of any kind for the liabilities of these parties, including by way of pledges or fiduciary transfers of the company's assets or guarantees of any kind, whether paid or unpaid.
