The foundation aims to provide occupational pension benefits within the framework of the BVG and its implementing provisions for the employees of the company and economically or financially closely related companies, as well as for their relatives and beneficiaries against the economic consequences of old age, disability and death. The affiliation of a related company is made on the basis of a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. The foundation may provide additional benefits beyond the statutory minimum benefits, including support benefits in cases of need, such as illness, accident, disability or unemployment. The foundation board shall issue one or more regulations on the benefits, organization, administration, partial liquidation, asset management and financing, as well as on the control of the foundation. In particular, it shall establish the relationship with the employers, the insured persons and the beneficiaries. The regulations may be amended by the foundation board while preserving the acquired rights of the beneficiaries. The regulations and amendments must be submitted to the supervisory authority. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, where it must be the policyholder and beneficiary itself.
