The foundation aims to provide for the employees of AIL Holding AG, Muttenz, and the original founding company, Grosspeter AG, Muttenz, as well as for companies economically or financially closely related to them, and for their dependents and beneficiaries against the economic consequences of old age, death, and disability. The affiliation of a related company is based on a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. In addition to its primary purpose, the foundation may provide support in special cases of need, such as illness, disability, accident, or unemployment. The foundation board issues a regulation governing the benefits, organization, administration, financial situation, and financing, as well as the control of the foundation. It defines the relationship with the employers, the insured persons, and the beneficiaries in the regulation. The regulation may be amended by the foundation board, provided that the acquired rights of the beneficiaries are preserved. The regulation and its amendments must be submitted to the supervisory authority. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, in which case it must be the policyholder and beneficiary.
