The foundation's purpose is to provide benefits (old age, death and disability) and assistance in cases of need, such as illness, accident and financial hardship, to the employees of the founding company and economically or financially closely related companies, as well as their dependents and beneficiaries. Employer contributions to pension funds affiliated with the founding company can be made from the foundation's funds, provided that contribution reserves have been previously established and separately disclosed (Art. 331 OR). To the extent that the foundation grants beneficiaries legal claims, it establishes a set of rules that, within the framework of this foundation deed, defines the circle of beneficiaries, their legal status, the type and scope of welfare benefits, and all other necessary modalities. The foundation has the right to amend this set of rules at any time, in whole or in part, while preserving existing legal claims of beneficiaries, provided that the founding company is given the opportunity to comment beforehand. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing ones, with the foundation being the policyholder.
