The foundation's purpose is to provide occupational pension benefits within the framework of the Federal Act on Occupational Retirement, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans (BVG) and its implementing provisions for the employees of the founding company, as well as their dependents and beneficiaries, against the economic consequences of old age, death, and disability. The foundation may also provide additional benefits beyond the statutory minimum requirements, including support in cases of hardship due to illness, accident, disability, or unemployment. The foundation may also, by decision of the foundation board and with the consent of the founding company, admit the personnel of companies economically affiliated with the founding company, provided that the necessary funds are made available to the foundation and the rights of the existing beneficiaries are not impaired. The admission of an economically affiliated company is based on a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts for the benefit of the beneficiaries or a part thereof, or enter into existing contracts, provided that it is itself the policyholder and beneficiary.
