The foundation's purpose is to provide occupational pension benefits beyond the statutory requirements for the employees of the founding company and affiliated companies, as well as for their dependents and beneficiaries, against the economic consequences of old age, death, and disability, as well as in cases of hardship such as illness, accident, and unemployment. It insures salary components above one and a half times the upper limit according to Art. 8 para. 1 BVG and offers the insured the choice of investment strategy according to Art. 1e BVV 2. The foundation may also be joined by the personnel of companies economically or financially closely related to the company, provided that the necessary funds are made available to the foundation and the rights of the existing beneficiaries are not impaired. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, whereby it must be the policyholder and beneficiary itself. The foundation may also provide services to other tax-exempt pension institutions that exist for the benefit of the beneficiaries to finance contributions and insurance premiums. However, employer contributions can only be made from the foundation's funds if contribution reserves have been previously accumulated and separately disclosed (employer contribution reserves).
