The purpose of the association: a) The association ensures, in the area of the member municipalities, taking into account the regional conditions, a contemporary and appropriate social and medical care for the elderly. b) The operation, maintenance, and preservation of the functional capacity of the nursing home for the accommodation of elderly people who, due to their state of health, require care and constant supervision. It promotes, according to the cantonal legislation, the activity of the other medical and social-medical organizations in the association's area in the sense of a health network. It can offer services to municipalities that are not members, as well as to other municipal associations in the sense of Article 112 Paragraph 2 of the Basic Law. Persons who do not reside in the area of the member municipalities can also be admitted to the nursing home. Residents from the member municipalities have priority. The association can own and maintain properties that do not serve the association's purpose.
