The National Cash Scheme (NCS) is a payment network existing in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, in which financial institutions can participate. The NCS focuses on the processing of cash transactions, in particular transactions at ATMs in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, with the aim of providing technical standards for a uniform user experience at participating points of sale. The company can establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad and participate in other companies in Switzerland and abroad, as well as conduct all business that is directly or indirectly related to its purpose. The company can acquire, encumber, sell and manage real estate in Switzerland and abroad. It can also provide financing for its own account or for the account of third parties, as well as grant guarantees and sureties for subsidiaries and third parties. The company is an (indirect) subsidiary of SIX Group AG (parent company) and exercises its business activities in the interests of the group. It can promote the interests of the parent company or other group companies and grant them financing, directly or indirectly (e.g. through loans or provision of securities of any kind), with or without consideration.
