The foundation aims to 1. provide material assistance to people in social and physical need in the following areas: care such as youth welfare, assistance for the elderly, disabled, and infirm; health services (coverage of uncovered health costs); 2. promote private and public cultural institutions and projects without profit motive in the fields of art, literature, music, human and veterinary medicine; 3. support private and public institutions and corporations that are accessible to the public or work in the public interest (such as museums, botanical and zoological gardens, parks, sports and leisure facilities). 4. provide financial support for the education and training of children, young people and adults in Switzerland and abroad. This purpose is achieved through financial contributions to special and additional training in schools in Switzerland and abroad, enabling a suitable professional start, professional retraining and further education, studies and vocational training. Contributions are to be allocated where those affected are not able to cover the costs. The foundation acts in the general interest and without self-interest. It does not pursue any commercial or self-help purposes, it is exclusively non-profit through direct contributions to those affected and through services to institutions, corporations and project sponsors.
