The foundation aims to support and promote the Swiss Commercial Association and its individual members in the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein regarding its national tasks and activities in the areas of education and educational policy, social partnership, communication, national brand appearance, national partnerships, and politics. The grants of the foundation are in any case tied to the association's purpose of the Swiss Commercial Association, namely the aforementioned areas of education and educational policy, social partnership, communication, national brand appearance, national educational policy, and politics. Furthermore, the foundation aims to promote the vocational training and further education as well as career and vocational counseling of the employees of the professional groups supervised by the Swiss Commercial Association; measures to maintain employability and unemployment assistance; support in case of job loss due to merger, restructuring, closure of operations, bankruptcy, etc.; general welfare for the individual members of the Swiss Commercial Association in cases of hardship not due to their own fault; grants to other institutions with a social character of the Swiss Commercial Association; and the provision of solidarity benefits to individual members who receive old-age benefits from the AHV or have reached the age of 65. The foundation may establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad and participate in other companies in Switzerland and abroad. It may acquire, hold, manage, exploit, and dispose of real estate and intangible assets in Switzerland and abroad. It may also engage in all commercial, financial, and other activities that are related to the charitable purpose of the foundation or are suitable to promote it directly or indirectly. The foundation does not pursue any profit or self-help purposes.
