The purpose of the foundation is to establish, operate and maintain social-diakonic projects in the Engadine and southern valleys, offering support to people in life crises. The goal is to alleviate current hardship, provide housing and jobs, and maintain and improve the quality of life through personal counseling and care. These services aim to make people feel valued and respected in their entirety, regardless of their origin, religion, status, ability, and age. Where possible, the foundation strives to reintegrate those affected into the professional and working world. To achieve these goals, the foundation can rent, acquire and/or build premises, plots of land or properties. The foundation operates according to Christian-ethical principles. The Girella Foundation works non-profit, self-sufficiently and does not pursue any economic purpose.
