The foundation aims to promote the common good by addressing complex societal challenges jointly and systematically with actors from civil society, government, business, science, or culture ("Collective Action"). The foundation can use contemporary funding methods, provided they do not jeopardize its tax exemption. The foundation operates throughout Switzerland in accordance with its purpose. It can also implement, promote, and support projects abroad, provided they align with its purpose. The foundation is politically independent and denominationally neutral. It is non-profit, does not pursue any commercial objectives, and does not seek to make a profit. The foundation can, in particular, implement its own thematic missions and projects, cooperate with other organizations and/or support them. It can establish and operate other legal entities, acquire participations in such entities, merge with them, or become a member of purpose-driven associations, provided the non-profit purpose allows it.
