The QAIT Association

The purpose of the association is to promote new technologies, particularly in the field of new decentralized software architectures. The association can support and finance research and development and inform the public, issue, receive, use and store digital information, support startups, companies, government institutions and other third parties to enable digital transformation and contribute to a positive socio-economic impact. To this end, the association can in particular support startups, companies, governments and the general public in adapting to the era of the digital economy by introducing corporate solutions and decentralized applications, as well as financially or otherwise promote projects that are in the public interest, particularly those that promote and/or aim at economic development, job creation, job placement and financial inclusion with a positive impact on the environment, social affairs and governance (ESG). To achieve its purpose, the association can acquire, hold or grant trademark rights and other intellectual property rights or license rights, organize conferences and other events, participate in business transactions and take measures that are deemed necessary, appropriate and related or desirable to achieve the long-term goals of the association. The focus - but not exclusively - is on promoting the Sealcoin ecosystem. To this end, the association can in particular financially and otherwise support the development of software for the Sealcoin ecosystem. The association can also issue a digital token that is intended to enable various functions, particularly within the Sealcoin ecosystem. The purpose of the association also includes the design, issuance and management of decentralized infrastructure components intended to support secure, trustworthy and interoperable digital services, with a particular focus on digital identity, cybersecurity and decentralized trust architectures. The association acts in the public interest by promoting the responsible, secure and transparent use of decentralized technologies and contributing to the development of a safer and more resilient global digital infrastructure. To achieve its purpose, the association can cooperate with public authorities, academic institutions, industry practitioners, trainers and mentors. Furthermore, the association aims to use and preserve decentralized technology structures for and on behalf of the general public. To promote its purpose, the association can introduce a membership program and collaborate with other organizations to support the fulfillment of its tasks. The association advocates for an environment that is conducive to the interests of a global community ecosystem, as well as for the promotion of the common good of an information society through vocational training, entrepreneurship, innovation and public engagement. The association can organize events and promote scientific research and teaching in related fields and cooperate with public and private institutions for the benefit of its members, inter alia, by offering training workshops, organizing meetings and promoting contacts between members. The association is non-profit and does not pursue any profit-making purpose. Within the framework of its purpose, the association can be active in Switzerland and build a network of similar chapter associations abroad.
