The foundation aims to promote family cohesion and provide support in special life situations, as specified in the statutes and subordinate regulations. Cohesion can be promoted in particular through support for family gatherings and educational activities, as well as through the preservation and accessibility of family archives and other signs of the lives and work of family members. Support in special situations of need can occur, in particular, in the context of education, marriage, economic or health emergencies, and with regard to final resting places. Payments of funds that merely serve to increase the standard of living are excluded (Art. 335 Swiss Civil Code).
