Verein Saiten

The association aims to promote and support independent journalism in eastern Switzerland, particularly in the city of St. Gallen, in a non-profit manner. A key focus is on cultural mediation. The association sets itself the task of reporting on cultural, political and social issues, informing about events and contributing to the formation of opinions. To this end, the association publishes a regularly appearing magazine titled 'Saiten' and operates an online platform at the same time. An eastern Swiss event calendar is an integral part of the publications. The print publication is available for free at various public locations. To achieve its purpose, the association operates a publishing house or other non-profit businesses managed in a commercial manner and is registered in the commercial register.
