Alte Säge und Mühle Thalwil

The foundation aims to preserve the sawmill and mill on Mühlebachstrasse in Thalwil in their current state, to carry out all necessary maintenance and restoration work on buildings, facilities and surroundings, to acquire missing operational equipment, so that the sawmill and mill can be put back into operation as a demonstration object, with the restoration to be carried out in agreement with the cantonal monument preservation; to make the restored facility accessible to the public and in particular to school youth in classes under the guidance of their teacher on certain days in the presence of an expert, in order to provide future generations with an insight into the development of a domestic industry.
