The foundation's purpose is to provide supplementary occupational pension, survivors' and disability insurance. It protects the employees and employers of the companies affiliated with it (hereinafter referred to as "employers") against the economic consequences of loss of earnings due to old age, death and disability, in accordance with its regulations. The foundation exclusively insures salary components above one and a half times the upper limit according to Article 8, Paragraph 1 of the Federal Act on Occupational Retirement, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans (BVG) and offers exclusively pension plans with different investment strategies (Article 1e BW 2). Self-employed individuals may also join the foundation within the framework of a professional association's pension solution, as well as companies for their board members. The foundation maintains a separate pension plan for each affiliated employer. For multiple economically related companies (company group) and professional association pension solutions, joint pension plans are maintained instead. The foundation operates throughout Switzerland.
