The foundation aims to provide occupational pension benefits within the framework of the BVG and its implementing provisions for the employees of Clariant Produkte (Schweiz) AG (founder, formerly Clariant (Schweiz) AG), as well as for economically or financially closely related companies and their relatives and beneficiaries, against the economic consequences of old age, death, and disability. The foundation may provide additional benefits beyond the statutory minimum requirements. The affiliation of a related company is based on a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. The rights of the existing beneficiaries must be preserved. The foundation board issues a regulation on benefits, organization, management, asset management, and financing, as well as on the control of the foundation. It defines the relationship with employers, insured persons, and beneficiaries in the regulation. The regulation may be amended by the foundation board, provided that the acquired rights of the beneficiaries are preserved. The regulation and its amendments must be submitted to the supervisory authority. Furthermore, with the consent of the founder, the foundation may provide benefits for persons who work for subsidiaries abroad for the purposes of the Clariant Group. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, provided that it is the policyholder and beneficiary itself.
