The purchase, sale, trading, commerce, exchange, supply, management, transportation, storage, distribution or disposal in any manner whatsoever, as principal or agent, of crude oil, petroleum products, coal, gas, natural gas, renewable energy, alternative energy, electricity, emissions and energy, and all other petrochemical or raw materials products, as well as the trading of non-precious metals and the exercise of all activities and services related thereto, including administrative, financial, technical, economic or management and consulting services in connection with these activities. The Company may also, in Switzerland or abroad: create subsidiaries and branches, take participations in, and more generally participate in, all companies and entities having a direct or indirect relationship with its purpose; acquire, sell, manage and exploit any movable property, including patents, trademarks, licenses, permits and other intellectual property rights; carry out, either on its own account or on behalf of third parties, all operations directly or indirectly related to its purpose or likely to promote it, in particular, when permitted by law, acquire, manage, exploit and sell real estate; grant loans or other financial services to its direct or indirect shareholders as well as to its affiliated companies (up- and cross-stream undertakings) or third parties, including concluding cash pooling agreements, and provide guarantees of any nature whatsoever on its assets, including through pledges or fiduciary transfers or through guarantees of any nature whatsoever, to secure the obligations of its shareholders or affiliated companies, in each case with or without consideration and even if these transactions are exclusively in the interest of third parties, borrow, raise funds, including the issuance of bonds or other securities, as well as the conclusion of any related contract; and trade and invest in currencies, securities, derivatives and any other asset in general.
