Provision of care services in accordance with Article 5 of the foundation deed. The foundation may provide care services to the maternal relatives of the founder (descendants of Uncle Jacques Brunner, born 1901) from the income of the foundation assets by granting support in cases of illness, accident, disability, old age, death, unemployment, and unprovoked hardship. The term 'provision of care services' refers to measures to support those in need. The beneficiaries may be granted material assistance to cover costs in specific, exhaustively listed life situations in Article 5, paragraph 1, which appear necessary and desirable under the given circumstances and are feasible for the foundation in light of its income. These are contributions that can provide assistance in times of need to satisfy the resulting special needs. In particular, the beneficiaries must be in need of care or support. The foundation provides its contributions exclusively on a voluntary basis. There is no entitlement to benefits from the foundation. The foundation board decides on the awarding of benefits and their amount at its discretion.
