The foundation aims to provide for the employees of the founding company in the event of old age, disability, illness, accident, unemployment or, in the event of their death, for their surviving dependents. Furthermore, support can be granted to employees or former employees of the founding company and their surviving dependents in cases of unprovoked hardship. The foundation may also, by decision of the foundation board and with the approval of the founding company, include the personnel of companies or institutions that are economically or financially closely linked to it, provided that the necessary funds are made available to the foundation and the rights of the existing beneficiaries are not impaired.
