Research into the heart and circulatory system and dissemination of new findings in this field of research both domestically and internationally through the promotion of the following activities in particular: enabling heart surgery interventions for underprivileged patients with congenital heart problems; providing diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients in the long-term course; awarding research grants for experimental and clinical projects; developing new therapeutic procedures; promoting education and further training of specialists; establishing and defining standards in the surgery of the research field; creating and maintaining documentation, databases, archives, libraries, and exhibitions; awarding contributions to events, organizing and attending congresses and courses; announcing and awarding prizes and competitions; awarding publication contributions; making investments in laboratory equipment and infrastructure.
