The foundation's purpose is to provide occupational pension benefits within the framework of the Federal Act on Occupational Retirement, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans (BVG) and its implementing provisions for the employees of the company and economically or financially affiliated companies, as well as for their dependents and beneficiaries, against the economic consequences of old age, disability and death. The affiliation of an affiliated company is made on the basis of a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. The foundation may provide additional benefits beyond the statutory minimum benefits, including support benefits in cases of need, such as illness, accident, disability or unemployment. The purpose can also be fulfilled by providing services to finance contributions and insurance premiums to other tax-exempt employee benefit institutions that exist for the benefit of the beneficiaries. However, the sole contributions of the employer can only be made from the foundation's funds if contribution reserves have been previously accumulated and separately disclosed. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, whereby it must be the policyholder and beneficiary itself.
