The foundation aims to insure the employees of Bank Julius Bär & Co. AG (hereinafter referred to as the employer) against the economic consequences of old age, disability and death within the framework of the Federal Act on Occupational Old-Age, Survivors' and Disability Insurance (BVG). It is registered in the register for occupational pension plans. The foundation can provide additional benefits beyond the statutory minimum benefits. To achieve its purpose, the foundation can conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, provided that it must be the policyholder and beneficiary. With the consent of the foundation board, employees of companies that belong to the Julius Bär Group or are economically or financially closely related to it can be affiliated with the foundation. The affiliation of a company is based on a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. The foundation maintains separate accounting circles for companies affiliated with it before November 18, 2020, which are not economically or financially related to the Julius Bär Group, and determines the pension capital and pension assets attributable to them separately. The foundation board can establish separate funds within the foundation. These must be disclosed separately in the annual accounts.
