The foundation aims to provide occupational benefits within the framework of the BVG and its implementing regulations for the employees of the founding company as well as their relatives and dependents by granting assistance in cases of old age, death, and disability. The foundation can also provide additional benefits beyond the statutory minimum benefits by granting assistance in cases of old age, death, illness, accident, disability, unemployment, and involuntary hardship. The foundation may also include the personnel of companies economically closely linked to the founding company, provided that the necessary funds are made available to the foundation and the rights of the existing beneficiaries are not impaired. The inclusion of an economically closely linked company takes place on the basis of a written accession agreement, which must be brought to the attention of the supervisory board. To achieve the foundation's purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts in favor of the beneficiaries or part of them, or enter into existing contracts, whereby it must itself be the insured and the beneficiary.
