The foundation aims to provide occupational pension benefits within the framework of the BVG and its implementing provisions for the employees of the founding company, as well as for their dependents and beneficiaries, against the economic consequences of old age, disability and death. The foundation may, by decision of the foundation board, through a written accession agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority, also include the personnel of companies economically or financially closely linked to the company, provided that the foundation is provided with the necessary means and the rights of the existing beneficiaries are not impaired. The foundation may provide additional benefits beyond the statutory minimum benefits, including support benefits in cases of need, such as illness, accident, disability or unemployment. The foundation board shall issue regulations on the benefits, organization, administration and financing, as well as on the control of the foundation. It shall define the relationship to the employers, the insured persons and the beneficiaries in the regulations. The regulations and their amendments may be changed by the foundation board, while preserving the acquired rights of the beneficiaries. The regulations and their amendments must be submitted to the supervisory authority. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, in which it must be the policyholder and beneficiary.
