The foundation aims to insure employees of UBS Group AG and companies closely economically or financially linked to it against the economic consequences of old age, disability, and death within the framework of the Federal Law on Occupational Old Age, Survivors' and Disability Pension Schemes (BVG) and in the area of supplementary benefits beyond the statutory minimum benefits. Consequently, it is registered in the occupational pension register. To achieve its purpose, the foundation can conclude insurance contracts or join existing contracts, in which case it must itself be the insured party and the beneficiary. Employees of companies that are closely economically or financially linked to UBS Group AG can only be admitted to the foundation if the existing foundation beneficiaries are in no way disadvantaged thereby. The connection of an affiliated company takes place on the basis of a written connection agreement, which must be brought to the attention of the supervisory authority. The foundation board can, within the framework of the foundation, establish separate funds with separate accounting. No benefits may be provided from the foundation's assets that an employer is legally obliged to provide, in particular under the employment contract, or that are usually voluntarily granted.
