The foundation's purpose is to provide benefits for old age, death and disability, as well as benefits in cases of hardship such as illness, accident and unemployment, to the employees of the founding company and economically or financially closely related companies, as well as their relatives and dependents. Furthermore, support can be granted to employees currently or formerly in the service of the founding company, as well as their dependents, in cases of unforseen hardship. Employer contributions to personal pension institutions affiliated with the founding company and exempt from taxation can be made from the foundation's funds, provided that contribution reserves have been previously established and separately disclosed (Art. 331 OR).
