The foundation exclusively aims to provide charitable and non-profit support to needy individuals and non-profit, tax-exempt institutions based in Switzerland or in developing and emerging countries, including university research and science, in the areas of human, animal and nature conservation. The foundation's main focus is on supporting and promoting research and scientific discoveries in the field of cell and molecular biology. To this end, the foundation can directly support scientific work and/or award a research prize. The promotion of research and scientific work is usually carried out in Switzerland. Projects of great importance can also be supported in an international context. The research prize is to be associated with the name of the foundation and, if possible, awarded regularly. The award ceremony is to be held in a festive setting. The foundation does not pursue any commercial or self-help purposes.
