The company's purpose is to carry out a regional agricultural development project, within the meaning of Article 93, paragraph 1, letter c of the Federal Law on Agriculture (LAgr) and Articles 6 and 9 of the Vaud Law on Land Improvements (LAF), whose objectives are detailed in a program submitted for approval to the Cantonal Service in charge of Land Improvements. The company assumes the role of project owner. Consequently, it is responsible for managing and controlling, in particular, all aspects related to studies and work orders to be carried out, monitoring them, paying invoices, collecting contributions due from members and state subsidies, and allocating these subsidies. The company also aims to promote the economic interests of its members, in particular by: studying, setting up and developing the nut production chain; promoting, distributing and marketing nuts and their by-products under the best possible conditions; studying any measures that favor technical development and marketing of products; and defending the interests of its members. To this end, the company may carry out all financial, commercial and real estate transactions.
