The foundation aims to preserve the Gysin collection for posterity as intact as possible, by ensuring that 1. the works of the Gysin collection remain integral, except in the cases mentioned in Article 3, paragraph 3; 2. the works are stored in suitable rooms, professionally preserved, prepared and maintained; 3. the works are inventoried; 4. the works are prepared for research purposes; 5. the works are lent to other institutions and museums in Switzerland and abroad; 6. the works of the Gysin collection are exhibited in solo or group exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad; 7. the artists represented in the Gysin collection are promoted in a dignified manner. To achieve this, the following possibilities are given priority: 1. scholarships are awarded to young and/or deserving artists; 2. promotion prizes and/or recognition prizes are awarded; 3. publications on the works and foundation are published. The foundation collaborates with similar foundations to achieve the goals mentioned in paragraph 1. The founders explicitly reserve the right to change the purpose in accordance with Article 86a of the Swiss Civil Code. The foundation is non-profit and does not aim to make a profit.
