The foundation aims to: support and promote youth in the Wabern district of the municipality of Köniz; acquire a building rights property from the municipality of Köniz on the Villa Bernau site with the building (chalet) located on it; collect the necessary funds for the renovation of the chalet; renovate the existing chalet, which is partially under monument protection; make the renovated building available to the Villa Bernau sponsorship with the stipulation that the operators of Villa Bernau use the Chalet Piccola Bernau as "the house for children". The two apartments on the ground floor and upper floor/attic can - as long as there is no immediate claim for the fulfillment of the foundation's purpose - also be rented to third parties, with rental applicants who have a connection to "the house for children" deserving priority. The foundation is non-profit and does not pursue any commercial purpose.
