Stiftung SEF

The SEF Foundation aims to provide occupational pension benefits within the framework of the BVG and its implementing provisions for the SEF's members and their employees, as well as for their dependents and beneficiaries, against the economic consequences of old age, death, and disability. The affiliation of members (employers) to the SEF Foundation is made through a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. The SEF Foundation may provide additional pension benefits beyond the statutory minimum requirements. In exceptional cases of need, the SEF Foundation may provide discretionary benefits to beneficiaries. The purpose of the foundation can be achieved by the SEF Foundation concluding or entering into contracts with licensed Swiss life insurance companies, whereby it must be the policyholder or beneficiary itself.
