SwissGIN promotes high-quality basic training for building informatics professionals (Telematiker EFZ, Informatiker EFZ, Automatiker EFZ, Mediamatiker EFZ, etc.) as well as their continuing professional education. It supports energy efficiency (Green Building) and the integration of all ICT technologies, building system technologies, automation, and multimedia in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. It attaches great importance to the responsible use of these technologies for the benefit of the economy and society. SwissGIN pursues the following goals: Active creation of new training positions for Telematiker EFZ through support for suitable training companies. Establishment of regional training associations for basic training. Standardization of visualized building informatics with technology and system suppliers, etc. Organization and promotion of standardization efforts with planning companies in the form of planning aids, guidelines, checklists, etc. and active exchange of experience. It strives to secure an attractive and forward-looking form of professional practice for its members in the changing field of building informatics. Promotion of national (Swiss Skills) and international (World Skills) professional competitions. Representation of the interests of the SwissGIN industry in the Swiss public and politics. Promotion of the exchange of experience and opinions among members through the provision of corresponding platforms. Holding of conferences and training events that provide members, their employees, and other interested parties with insights into the further development and innovative use of building informatics. Support for training courses of the federal and professional and higher vocational examinations as well as higher vocational schools (HF) in the SwissGIN sector.
