The foundation aims to provide for the employees of the founding company and those economically or financially closely related to it, as well as their dependents and survivors, against the economic consequences of old age, death, and disability. In addition, the foundation can provide support in special cases of need, such as illness, accident, disability, or unemployment. The affiliation of a related company is made on the basis of a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. The foundation also aims to finance and provide contributions from the founding company and those economically or financially closely related to it to tax-exempt employee benefit institutions that the founding company has joined or established itself. The foundation board issues a regulation on the benefits, organization, administration, asset management, and financing, as well as on the control of the foundation. It defines the relationship to the employers and the beneficiaries in the regulation. The regulation can be amended by the foundation board while preserving the acquired rights of the beneficiaries. The regulation and its amendments must be submitted to the supervisory authority. To achieve its purpose, the foundation can conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, provided it is the policyholder itself.
