The foundation aims to provide occupational pension benefits within the framework of the BVG and its implementing provisions for the employees of the company and the affiliated companies, as well as for their dependents and beneficiaries, against the economic consequences of old age, death, and disability. The affiliation of a company of A.Vogel AG is based on a decision of the foundation board and by means of a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. The foundation may provide additional benefits beyond the statutory minimum benefits, including support benefits in cases of need, such as illness, accident, disability, or unemployment. The foundation board issues one or more regulations on benefits, organization, management, and financing, investment activities, partial liquidation, reserve policy, and control of the foundation. It defines the relationship with employers, insured persons, and beneficiaries in the affiliation agreements and regulations. The regulations may be amended by the foundation board while preserving the vested rights of the beneficiaries. The regulations and their amendments must be submitted to the supervisory authority. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, provided that it is the policyholder and beneficiary itself.
