The foundation's purpose is to provide supplementary occupational pension benefits in accordance with Article 1e BVV2 for the employees and employers of the companies affiliated with the foundation, which have their registered office or a branch in Switzerland, as well as for their dependents and beneficiaries, against the economic consequences of old age, death, and disability. The affiliation of a company is based on a written affiliation agreement. The foundation board issues a regulation governing the benefits, organization, management, and financing, as well as the supervision of the foundation. It defines the relationship with the affiliated companies, the insured persons, and the beneficiaries in the regulation. The regulation can be amended by the foundation board, provided that the acquired rights of the beneficiaries are preserved. The regulation and its amendments must be submitted to the supervisory authority. The foundation establishes separate pension plans for each affiliated company based on objective criteria. To achieve its purpose, the foundation can fully cover insurance risks with life insurance companies licensed in Switzerland by concluding corresponding contracts or joining existing insurance contracts. The foundation must always be the policyholder and beneficiary itself.
