Provision for the benefit of the company's employees and their dependents against the economic consequences of old age, disability and death, as well as support for beneficiaries or their dependents in cases of need such as illness, accident, disability and unemployment. The foundation may, by decision of the foundation board, also be joined by the personnel of companies economically or financially closely related to the company, provided that the necessary funds are made available to the foundation and the rights of the existing beneficiaries are not impaired. To fulfill the purpose of the foundation, the foundation may operate a regulatory pension institution or conclude insurance contracts, whereby the foundation must be the policyholder and beneficiary. No benefits may be paid out of the foundation's assets for purposes other than provision, to which the company is legally obligated or which it usually pays as compensation for services rendered (e.g. cost-of-living, family and child allowances, bonuses, etc.).
